Lets get to know each other!

My name is Olivier, and I’m the creator of Aquatic Wiki. My goal is to inform, teach, and entertain our readers with the experiences I’ve had keeping aquariums, as well as share valuable information I find online.

My own journey

My journey with aquatic life started when I was in school, after receiving my first aquarium from my father. He taught me everything I needed to know about maintaining a healthy tank, from water quality to caring for fish and plants. As a photographer, I used to work with chemistry to develop film and print pictures, so the water aspect of aquarium maintenance intrigued me. The beauty of the fish and plants, combined with the science of creating the perfect water balance, made me fall in love with the hobby. I’ve kept at least one tank ever since.

The future

Currently, Aquatic Wiki features blog posts written by me on topics like shrimps, goldfish, and water quality. As the website grows, I plan to expand the content to include other types of fish, practices, how-to guides, lists, and more.

While I may not have professional qualifications in aquatic life or marine biology, I have years of experience and have done extensive research to create the content you see on this website. I currently have 8 tanks and plan to add 6 more in the near future to further develop my hobby. My hope is that the information I provide will help you create a thriving aquatic environment in your own home.

In addition to the website, I also have social media channels where you can follow along with my aquatic adventures. While I’m still figuring out the best way to engage with my audience online, I invite you to join me on this journey by following Aquatic Wiki on social media
